Plot Summary

South Park is returning for its 17th season on September 25th, and with it comes a lot of speculation about what storylines will be tackled. Here’s everything we know so far about the new season.

The first episode is titled “The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to South Park” and features references to The Lord of the Rings trilogy. It is also rumoured that Kenny will be killed off in this premiere, which would leave Stan as the lone black character in town.

Other speculated storylines include Butters becoming gay, Kyle going into foster care, and Cartman becoming president. All of these plot points were teased in an interview with series co-creator Matt Stone last year.

Stone also hinted that Season 17 might be the end for South Park. However, he has never ruled out future seasons and has even said that he would like to do an 18th and 19th season. So there’s definitely still hope for fans of South Park!

What We Know So Far

South Park Season 20 is set to air on COMEDY CENTRAL on September 18th. Here’s what we know so far about the new season.

The first episode of South Park Season 20 will be a two-parter and it will be called “Bring the Pain” and “Reverse Cowgirl”. This episode is about Stan getting kicked out of school for being gay and Kyle getting his parents’ divorce reversed.

In addition, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have teased

There might be a crossover event with another popular show on Comedy Central, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Noah has interviewed both South Park creators in the past, so it would make sense for them to team up for an episode sometime this season.

As always, fans can expect plenty of crude humor, outrageous plotlines, and over-the-top characters when South Park returns next month.
